Do I need to re-enroll in Medicare Advantage if I am already enrolled?
If you have already enrolled in Medicare Advantage and have moved, your plan may not have followed along. You may need to find new coverage.
Moving may trigger a Special Enrollment Period which will allow you to enroll in a new plan outside the annual enrollment period. The Special Enrollment Period is offered one month before you move and up to two months after you settle in your new home.

If I had Medicare previously and recently moved, am I covered?
Not necessarily. Depending on your plan, the Medicare Advantage plan may not follow you to a new city, county, or state, so it is important to check the status of your plan and re-enroll, if necessary.
When should I enroll in Medicare Advantage?
If you had coverage through a Medicare Advantage plan before you moved and have notified your plan, your Special Enrollment Period timeframe begins one month before you move and lasts for two months after your move.
If you don’t notify your plan until after your move, you can switch plans the month you provided notice of the move and up to two months after.
